The Spring 2026 Lucite Presidential Election was held from Friday, February 27 to Saturday, February 28, 2026 to elect the President of Lucite to a six-month term. Although a run-off round was scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 Cabal secured a majority of formal votes in the Preliminary Round and a run-off was not required.

Former President Cabal beat incumbent President jmvvana winning 60% of the popular vote. Voter turnout was 100%.

Electoral System

The Lucitian presidential election uses a run-off system. The Constitution of Lucite guarantees that every citizen may directly elect the President in a secret ballot. The Electoral Commission of Lucite is empowered by the Senate to conduct a presidential election.

In the first ballot, citizens write the name of their preferred candidate who can be any citizen of Lucite. If no person attains a majority of valid votes in that ballot, a run-off election is held with the two highest polling persons as candidates. If in the first ballot a person attains a majority of valid votes then they are elected President.

As the Presidency is a non-partisan office with extensive but limited powers, elections are more dignified and collegial than parliamentary elections. Candidates do not need to formally register, and campaigning is expected to be limited.
