Newsota, officially the Republic of Newsota, is a country located in the Western Taiga region of the Creative 1.15 map. Newsota consists of 3 states. Newsota borders Lucite to the north and southeast, with a Great Coral Sea coastline to the east. It shares maritime borders with Lucite. The official languages are English, French and Dakotan while English is the most spoken language of the three and the main language.
The indigenous Dakota population has lived on this land since 5000 B.C.E. in and around the taiga forest. Beginning in 1652, French expeditions explored and later settled around Ozark in the then called "Nouveau Sota" colony. Around 91 years later, when British explorers have heard about the settlement, the British and French started the Anglo-French War in 1743 which resulted in a win for the British Empire. Nouveau Sota got colonised by the British Empire under the anglicized name "Newsota". After years of British colonization, Newsota got dependence from the United Kingdom in 1948.
